Instagram

News coming for the most used social: change the algorithm! This was announced by the Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, in a video posted on his profile. It lets us know that: “If you create something from scratch, you should have more credit than someone who shares something made by someone else”. For this reason, content based on originality will be shown more than the more reserved and shared ones. The goal of this novelty is to give priority to creators, while giving less visibility to profiles that base their popularity on the creativity of others.

Whatsapp

In Whatsapp home came a news that brings the social to resemble Telegram, it’s the ephemeral messages, a function that can be activated to have more privacy. By setting up the chat with this setup you have the possibility to have more freedom knowing that the conversations are not stored permanently. In fact, once activated, new messages will no longer be visible after 24 hours, 7 or 90 days.
If media files are also exchanged during the process, they will be visible only temporarily, but will be saved on your phone if the automatic download settings are active.

The newsletters also arrive, also known as “promotional messages“. They are promotional messages that companies can send to their customers via whatsapp Business.

Last but not least, the birth of Communities! A tool that allows to bring together more people united by shared interests. Whatsapp ensures that this feature will allow you to more easily send updates by creating smaller topic-specific discussion groups up to a maximum of 10. Once a Community has been created, the Ads chat will be automatically created, within which the moderators can send important communications.

TikTok

The Chinese platform expands, completely entering the television industry for two different events. TikTok will broadcast live the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, becoming in effect partners of the event and will also broadcast the Spanish League matches.
This event marks a great step in the history of sports streaming, it will be the first time ever that a social will broadcast live a football match. This could just be the beginning of a long change that will see this platform take the place of traditional TV.

Twitter

The most famous bird on the web has been adopted, or rather, bought for (just) 44 billion dollars!
By whom? By the man of the moment of course, Elon Musk!
After weeks of rumors about it, the head of Tesla and SpaceX, concluded the deal by buying the social media from 200 million users that now becomes private. What will change? We will find out only by living and tweeting!
